Francesco is a Tango Dj who embraces Tango as a language, a celebration, and a moment of connection. He began Djing in 2007 in two international holiday villages, one in Tuscany and one in Egypt. He discovered Tango in 2010 in Istanbul, where he took his first steps on the dance floor, and by 2015 he started playing music for Tango practices at the “tango Club Cremona” school and private gatherings among friends. that same year, he attended an intensive four-day workshop with Gabriel Sodini during the beautiful Tarbes Tango Festival, deepening his musical sensibility and exploring the art of storytelling through music. in 2017, together with a group of friends, he launched Il Porto del Tango, a cultural project aimed at spreading Tango in the Cremona area through events, practices, and international collaborations. in 2018, he began a journey that led him to play music for milongas across Europe, including Spontilonga in Munich, La Tanguedia in Paris, Milonga Poema in Lucerne, Milonga El Abrazo in Saint Petersburg, and Tango Genève in Geneva. His style is defined by a deep attention to the uniqueness of each event, the energy of each dancer, and the soul of every venue. over time, he has continued to enrich his vision by attending historical Tango courses in 2020 organized by the Instituto Argentino del Tango, and a workshop in 2021 with Punto y Branca in Vicenza, focused on musicality and dance dynamics applied to the role of the Dj. with selections ranging from Guardia Vieja to electronic Tango and the so-called non-Tango, Francesco creates inclusive musical stories that bring together traditionalists and innovators, young and old. His background as a Dj in diverse settings has helped him develop a refined taste in choosing cortinas, which he considers a living part of the evening’s narrative. With sensitivity and balance, he reads the atmosphere and selects the right music to support the dance and foster connection on the floor.
